The Sustainable Veterinary Practices (K) course provides a structured progression of knowledge that builds from core sustainability concepts to advanced, practice‑based application in veterinary systems. Learners explore foundational ideas of sustainability and ESG, gain scientific grounding in climate systems and planetary limits, and examine global sustainability frameworks. The course then focuses on veterinary‑specific material topics—Wildlife, Water, Warming, Waste, Wellbeing, and Welfare—before translating these into sustainability targets, goals, and real‑world actions. Practical modules equip learners with hands‑on approaches for clinics, field operations, and animal‑health programs.
Objectives:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of sustainability, ESG, and planetary health.
- Apply global and veterinary‑specific frameworks to professional practice.
- Strengthen decision‑making through sustainability targets and practical tools.
Learning Outcomes:
Learners will demonstrate the ability to analyse, plan, and implement sustainable practices that enhance environmental stewardship, animal welfare, community wellbeing, and veterinary system resilience.
